Face care is a consistent, multi-step process designed to maintain healthy, radiant skin. A proper routine addresses various skin concerns and protects against environmental damage.
Step 1: Cleansing (Morning and Evening)
Use a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. (See “Face Cleanser” section for details).
Wet your face with lukewarm water.
Apply a small amount of cleanser to your fingertips.
Massage the cleanser in circular motions over your face and neck for 30-60 seconds.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a clean, soft towel.
Step 2: Toning (Optional, Morning and Evening)
Apply a toner to a cotton pad or your fingertips.
Gently swipe or pat the toner over your face and neck.
Toner helps to balance the skin’s pH, remove residual impurities, and prepare it for serums and moisturizers.
Step 3: Serum (Morning and/or Evening)
Apply a few drops of serum to your fingertips.
Gently pat or press the serum into your skin.
Serums target specific skin concerns, such as wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, or dehydration. (Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid are popular serums)
Step 4: Moisturizing (Morning and Evening)
Apply a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
Massage the moisturizer into your face and neck in upward, circular motions.
Moisturizers hydrate the skin and lock in moisture, preventing dryness and dehydration.
Step 5: Sunscreen (Morning)
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
Apply sunscreen generously to all exposed areas of your face and neck.
Reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating.
